Business Card Designs
A fun extra side project I did for myself and some of my friends, where I designed full business cards for them to use, especially for a Business Academy Aarhus hosted event, the “Company Day”. Unfortunately the cards couldn’t be printed in time, so all that was left were the digital designs.
All of the designs were created in Figma in accordance with everyone’s unique portfolio designs. This one – fitting my own brand identity.
For my own card I went with a simple design, adding a wave-y detail as an interest point that also adds my brand colors to the design. The card also features my name of course, as well as a slogan I stand by.
I also added an outline around most of the cards as without it the designs seemed a bit empty around the edges, and I think in my case – it plays really well with the gradient wave. The edge also helps a bit with printing edges which is a nice extra bonus!

For Basia’s card I really wanted to incorporate some coding details, as that’s her proficiency – so I made the card look like it was coded itself! I often see the design choice of putting your name in brackets to make it look like code, like <Filip/>, so I decided to push that idea. The color choice was decided by her as well, as she really liked the red-ish purple.
The font choice was also deliberate, as I used the font commonly used for coding.

Lidia went for a brutalist-esq theme with her portfolio with thin lines and a simple color scheme of black, red and white. The card reflects that by taking the background of the website and using it as the background for the card itself. I used the same font that was used on her portfolio, and I added the dots next to her name to reference the dots present in the background.

For this card – I was instructed to go for a simple and clean, corporate look, which I achieved with the minty green color choice and clean edges.
Through my process of creating these designs, I had to figure out how to neatly and properly show and portray information on a small canvas size, keeping in mind personal brand identities.
